Covid-19 Vaccination, Treatment & Tests

The Pfizer BA.4/5 COVID-19 bivalent vaccine is now the vaccine used for booster doses.

From 1 April, anyone who has completed a primary vaccination course (for most people, this is 2 doses) will be eligible to get another booster if you are:

  • aged 30 and over or
  • at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19.

This is regardless of how many boosters you have had. If you are eligible for this extra booster from 1 April, it will need to be at least 6 months since your last COVID-19 booster or a positive COVID-19 test.

We can administer the COVID-19 Booster and Flu vaccination during the same appointment.

Book online here

Please note due to an issue at Te Whatu Ora, until the 31st March the booking facility will only show COVID-19 booster and not flu vaccine. We can still provide both vaccines even if you are only booked for one.

You may be eligible to get COVID-19 antiviral medicines from our pharmacy if you have tested positive, or have COVID-19 symptoms in the last FIVE days AND are a Household contact of a positive case.

To be eligible you must also either be:

  • 65 years or older

  • 50 years or older and Maori or Pacific ethnicity

  • have had a previous admission to ICU directly as a result of COVID-19

  • with sickle cell disease

  • with Down syndrome

  • with a combination of several risk factors such as:

    • having complex health needs or disability

    • not having completed the full COVID-19 vaccine course yet and aged 50 years or over.
